Happy Holidays

Hey yall, I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays, we certainly are. I am truly blessed to have such great family and friends. I managed to get all of the kids pjs done, and everything for my sis except the pants. I baked all the holiday goodies plus some. I could not possibly disappoint the children. My daughter and my nieces look forward to our holiday baking sessions. A great time was had by all as we shared good food, great company, and the spirit of the season.

The Girls loved their pjs, and the My Little Pony robe was a big hit. Another fav are the Lady and the Tramp pj set, too adorable for words. I currently have a sweet little dress for my daughter with matching sunsuit for her new Cabbage Patch doll, courtesy of her auntie, both out of the most darling Peter Rabbit fabric on the sewing table. It's so great to work with no pressure!!! OOh,...I'm giddy!

I also got around to fixing up the place a bit, more improvements coming soon. A great big ol' thank you to In a Mood Designs for my pretty pink explosions. Photos will be the next thing I concentrate on after all the merriment is done.

I have not really had much time to work on Tempting but I have made a little progress. No where near done yet, hope to finish some time before Feb., but knowing my
attention span schedule, that's aiming a bit high. Kisses!!!!

Christmas is when......My Status is??????

Hey yall, I have finished the caplet. I only have to add a few beads to the side. 'Tis sad, but true, I have abandoned the gloves. I may pick them up after the holidays, we'll see.

I am still sewing madly and making progress. I have sewn enuff stuff to qualify for official sweat shop status, and no end in sight. I still need to do doll clothes for The Girls (my baby, my 2 neices, yes capitalized, to those who have been taken hostage, exposed to children, do I need to explain?) and boxers and 2 shirts for my nephew. I also need to do jeans, a purse, a skirt, and dress capris for my sister. Did I mention that I obviously operate outside the realm of reality just recently learned to sew?

It's the holidays so why not drive myself completely nuts and bake too??? Sounds rational right?? Why not make gingerbread, sugar, santa's whiskers, and sour cream citrus cookie dough, and pumpkin, sweet potato, blueberry custard, strawberry custard, banana cream, and german choclate pie all at the same time!!!!!

There are some really cute things in the new Knitty. I have cast on for Tempting, in my favorite shade, purple of course, a shade that oh so perfectly matches my purple suede sandals, and whenever I go away to my happy place , get a minute, I work on it. It's easy mindless work, but the needles are small and the stitches plentiful. Pics coming soon I promise. Kisses!!!

Progress, possibly???

Hey yall, I am making progress on the caplet, and I finished one finger of the glove and the entire fair isle pattern for the first glove. I like the way it turned out but there are a few mistakes, nothing that can't be fixed tho.

I have finished sewing the pants to the Bob the Builder p.j set for my nephew, still need to do top. Strawberry Shortcake nightgown for my neice is a done deal, my little pony fleece robe for my baby also done, and yet I'm still no where near done! That's enough sewing for today, I'm off to work on my caplet, Kisses

I'm For Real This Time

Hey yall, has it really been almost a year since I've been here? Well I finished the hat and scarf set, and I frogged the dress and cardi. My life has been exploding all around me as usual, but I'm hoping to have some time to spruce up the blog a bit and post more often, and definitely put up some pics.

It's holiday time, which by the way if my fav time of the year! I was up and out by 4:30 a.m. to buy toys like the rest of the truly insane people standing in line with me. It was an experience, that's for sure. The after Thanksgiving sale is like GAME DAY in my house. So what else do you do on game day but put ya game face on and let them hear your battle cry!!! Oh, it got ugly, but I was aggressive, persistent, and in the end VICTORIOUS ! I was able to get most of the toys I was after, so it was a good day.

On the knitting front, I am currently working on my first pair of gloves with my first fair isle attempt, and a capelet, both for me. I am also sewing like a fiend to meet Christmas deadlines and am up to my ears in fabric. Till next time, Kisses!!!!

Workin On It

Hey Yall, it has been forever since I've been here, and I haven't made one single change yet!!! I have been busy knitting though. I finished the poncho I was working on ages ago and it is exactly what I wanted! How often does that happen? I have also managed to turn out a hat and scarf set, and am now working on a girls dress and a cardigan for me in a perfect shade of lavender. Gotta go, Kisses!
